Brian D. Rubin

As the Managing Partner of the firm, I have a wealth of litigation experience, trying numerous types of cases to verdict in diverse subject areas, ranging from auto accidents, premises liability, construction defect, liquor liability, insurance bad faith, and insurance agent malpractice.

My practice is concentrated in tort litigation with emphasis in general liability, automobile defense, transportation and trucking defense, liquor liability defense, construction defect defense, product liability, toxic tort, and premises liability defense. Over the years, I have also handled a wide array of issues dealing with SIU/Insurance Fraud matters.

Additionally, I have provided insurance coverage analysis and coverage litigation services to carriers for over fifteen years. This includes handling complex insurance coverage claims in both the first and third party contexts. My coverage litigation practice has included all types of insurance policies with a particular emphasis on homeowners, automobile, and commercial general liability policies. A portion of my insurance practice is also dedicated to the defense of insurance bad faith claims asserted against insurance companies.

I derive great pleasure by keeping my clients informed of trends and developments in Arizona law. He lectures regularly to bar and client groups on various topics including bad faith, lien issues, Arizona law and procedure and insurance coverage matters. Over the course of my career, I have been active with a number of defense organizations. Currently, I serve on the steering committee for the Litigation Skills section of DRI. I am also the editor of various DRI Publications including The Voice and Trials and Tribulations. A few years ago, I served as a contributing author of DRI’s Damages Compendium. I also am an active member of the CLM Insurance Fraud Committee.

When not in the office, I often can be found spending time with my wife Katie and two kids, Eric and Eliza. One thing I am supremely proud of is my involvement in my children’s extracurricular activities. I began coaching my son’s flag football team in 2012 with no experience. Since then, I have become an accomplished (and Nationally recognized) youth flag football coach, having coached my son’s youth team to a National Championship in Orlando in 2018. I have been a professional sports fan my entire life, often memorizing statistics as a youth. Currently, I can be found rooting for the Philadelphia Sixers, Eagles, and Phillies.
